Get ready, Swan Hills! Swancicle Days are back, and they’re better than ever! From March 8 to 10, the town will be transformed into a winter wonderland (or at least what’s passing for winter this season) of fun and excitement. With a jam-packed schedule of events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And, as an added bonus, with the exception of the concessions on Friday and Saturday evenings… all of the events and attractions are free!

Friday, March 8:

The festivities kick off at 6:30 PM with the Winter Dance Showcase presented by Point and Drop Dance Studio at the Keyano Centre. Get ready to be dazzled by the talent of our local dancers! And don’t worry about getting hungry; a concession will be available to keep you fueled for the night ahead.

Curling enthusiasts can head over to the Swan Hills Curling Club for Swancicle Drop-in Curling from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, this is a great way to have some fun on the ice!

Saturday, March 9:

Start your day off right with a delicious Pancake Breakfast at the Keyano Centre from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Then, unleash your creativity at the Crafts event from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, also at the Keyano Centre.

For the little ones, there will be Bouncy Houses available from 1:00 to 2:00 PM for children 6 and under and from 2:00 to 5:00 PM for all ages. Let them bounce their energy away!

As the evening rolls in, gather round at the Keyano Centre for a special screening of “Despicable Me” from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Children under 8 must be accompanied by someone over 12. And, of course, there will be a concession available for all your snacking needs.

After the movie, put on your dancing shoes for the Family Dance from 8:00 to 10:00 PM, also at the Keyano Centre. Again, children under 8 must be accompanied by someone over 12. Don’t miss the Photo Booth to capture all the fun memories!

Sunday, March 10:

Wrap up Swancicle Days with some outdoor fun! Head to the hill in front of the Town Office from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for Sledding and a Free Community BBQ. Then, lace up your skates and hit the ice at the Tom Parkinson Arena for a Family Skate, also from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

And if that’s not enough, dive into the swimming pool for a Family Swim from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. It’s the perfect way to end the weekend of fun and make some lasting memories with your family and friends.

Don’t miss out on the excitement of Swancicle Days! Mark your calendars for March 8 to 10, and get ready for a weekend of winter magic in Swan Hills!
