The May 20 farmer’s market at the curling rink in Kinuso went ahead despite thick smoke blanketing the region.

Organizer Sharon Davis says the turnout was actually quite good – better than she expected under the circumstances.

Upcoming market dates are June 17, July 1 and 15, August 5 and 19 and Sept. 2 and 16.

Jennifer Churchill of the Kinosayo Museum had all the information anyone could want about the museum, including that it’s open seven days a week through the summer, and that the museum has received a grant to do more programming.
One of the vendors was Therese Morris of Enilda, with her impressive array of home-made pickles.
